Lucinda ( Cameron ) Bryan
Lucinda Cameron, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cameron, was born near Lafayette, Indiana on May 23, 1856 and died at the home of her son, Harvey Bryan, near Campo, Colorado on April 21, 1933, at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 29 days. While yet a small girl she moved with her parents to Iowa and settled near Drakesville, where she grew to womanhood. On January 5, 1873 she was married to Jones Marion Bryan and to this union were born 11 children, three of whom, 2 sons and 1 daughter, preceded her in death. In March of 1888 the family moved to Baca County, Colorado, and settled in the vicinity of Konantz and in this vicinity she spent the remainder of her life.  At an early age she united with the Methodist Church and always took an active part in Church and Sunday School work and she was an active worker in the W. C. T. U. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Jones Marion Bryan, her sons, Samuel, Roy and Fred of Stonington, and Marion and Eldridge of Greeley, and two daughters, Mrs. Mammie Wilkins of Pueblo and Mrs. Emma Smith of Canyon, Texas. She also leaves 45 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, besides other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held by Reverend Burdick of Stonington at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon, April 23, 1933. Male quartet of Walsh composed of T. D. Litke, C. J. Litke, Roland Powell and D. G. Dykes, with Mrs. T. D. Litke at the piano. The pallbearers were the 6 sons and flower girls were four of the grandchildren. Funeral services were in charge of Dykes and Morich Funeral Home in Walsh.
